Vivari is a seaside village in Argolida, 11 kilometers from the enchanting city of Nafplio, which belongs to the Municipality of Nafplio. The small settlement is considered the most protected port of Argolis since it is a large natural harbor protected by the winds.
In the center of Vivari, the visitor will find the church of Prophet Elias, the patron saint of the village celebrating on 19-20 July, and a large traditional feast with local meats, drinks and dancing until the morning. Other churches in the area are also Panagia Lefka with the magnificent view to the Vivari Lagoon, Zoodochos Pigi located in Marathia (about 2 km from the village square) and Agios Nikolaos (on the beach of Kondilli).
Vivari is famous for its fish taverns with the delicious appetizers on the seashore and the fresh fish.
The inhabitants of Vivari are engaged in tourism, fishing, agriculture and the trade of citrus and horticulture.

It was during this revolution that the area was finally liberated from its occupants. Here was the base of the governments that lead the revolution, and it became the first capital of the new state.

Argolida is an area that can be easily accessed by various means, such as car, local bus transportation (KTEL) or even by passenger ship, depending the season and the routes.

The bus station (KTEL) in Athens is at 100 Kifisou Avenue, from where the buses leave for Nafplio. From Nafplion Station there are regular bus services for all other destinations (villages).

You will easily reach, covering 150 kilometers and by about 2 hours.
Follow the Olympia Street / A8 and Corinth-Tripoli / A7 national roads. After the tolls of Spathovouni, take the 1st exit to Archaeological Museum of Nemea / Nafplion / Mycenae. Arriving at Nafplion, follow the road to Drepano via the Agios Eleousas hub. Arriving at Drepano village at the end of the road, go left and follow this road that will take you to the seaside village of Vivari.
